LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST

I’m giddy with anticipation for tonight’s Season Premiere. For outsiders who still think LOST is a poor mans version of Gilligan’s Island (you know who you are) the hype must seem borderline pathetic. But for the believers tonight is equivalent to the rapture. Damon and Carlton are saving our souls from the mindless monotony of prime time. A break from all the forensics and telepathy and most of all Snookie. Well Im sure there is a bit of all of those in LOST, come to think of it I can see Kate scoutin out juiceheads on the Jersey Shore. But not tonight, tonight Kate will be right where she needs to be in 1977 or 2003 or in a wormhole or… I digress. Whatever it is Im sure to have my mind blown.

Its been hard to stay away from the spoilers but I have been steadfast in my commitment to stay true to the premiere and not get sucked into any hootenanny that will spoil what I’ve waited all year for. Back in November Ely and I started re-watching all of the episodes and we finished up about 2 weeks ago. Im really glad we did, so many little things we forgot about or missed the 1st time around were brought to light and it gave us a boost of adrenaline to get ready for the new season. Of course all of our questions wont be answered and all of our theories wont be addressed in the final season, but hopefully when it all ends well feel like the last 6 years have been well spent.

Here are some of the island mysteries Im hoping will be answered this season. Feel free to comment and post your own.

1. Will Walt come back?
I felt like last season the way Locke didn’t push it with  Walt was closing that door. I’m not happy with that though I feel Walt was such a significant character it just seems something is undone.

2. Is Jacob the darkness or the light?
I was convinced during the first go round that Jacob wearing the white shirt and seeming to be the ultimate leader of the “Others” was of course the light. After the re-watch Im starting to question this.

3. Lapidus…
OK I freakin love Lapidus he is my fave, I heard a rumor he was going to play a much bigger role this season. I have my own unsubstantiated theory that Lapidus is tied to either the darkness or the light in a Richard Alpert type way? Could he have been a captain in another time? Maybe captain of the Black Rock, he could have been the John to Alperts Jack??

4. Who are Adam and Eve?
General consensus would say Rose and Bernard, but I have my doubts. No theories on this really I’m just feeling Rose and Bernard are too obvious. Then again if it quacks like a duck….

5.  Desmond..
He is the only main character to my knowledge who’s childhood is still a mystery.
You never hear of his parents etc. He grew up in Scotland that’s all we know.
