When I was a kid even a teenager I had the most incredible realistic dreams. Almost nightly I would bolt up in bed sure that I had just been riding on the back of a whale or stepping onto the school bus without shoes. I can remember quite a few times those lucid dreams got me in trouble, especially those ones where I would find my boyfriend making out with some other girl and then convinced he had done just that I would silently accuse him for days afterwards.
I cant quite remember when I actually stopped remembering my dreams or for that matter if my new adult chemistry even had enough magic potion left to let me dream at all. I didn’t really miss it so to speak it just was. Lately though I have started to get that feeling back again. Waking up in a cold sweat remembering some insane details of a dream I had just had and trying to make sense of it all. I’m a true proponent of interpreting dreams for yourself, dream dictionaries and all that other hullabaloo just isn’t personal enough to be accurate. Sure there are keys to certain symbolism but in the end the symbols only mean as much as the feeling they produce in the context of the dream. Ok so now is the part I write about the dream I had last night and try to make sense of it, so now’s your chance to back out if you’ve had enough of my craziness.
